The Murex Business Process Implementation Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of activities across a specific business function to drive end-to-end performance improvements. This role involves analyzing and redesigning business processes, defining organizational components to enhance efficiency, and serving as a subject matter expert. Success requires independent execution, active participation in team discussions, and providing solutions to complex work-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Implementation: Support the execution of activities that improve performance across the business function.
  • Process Analysis & Design: Analyze existing workflows, propose enhancements, and redesign processes to achieve operational excellence.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Develop deep knowledge of the business function to identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to effective strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment of business processes with project goals.
  • Documentation & Communication: Contribute to documenting and communicating process changes to stakeholders for smooth adoption.
  • Problem Resolution: Support the resolution of challenges during implementation by applying analytical skills and business knowledge.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst on Murex MX.3 programs, with specialist focus on Front Datamart and reporting.
  • Expert-level knowledge of MX.3 Front Datamart architecture, including universes, indicators, extraction engine, and integration with the MX.3 datamodel.
  • Good understanding of Back Office processes: trade settlement, nostro reconciliation, fails management, and SWIFT messaging (MT series and MX ISO 20022).
  • Solid finance reporting knowledge: P&L reporting, accruals, mark-to-market valuations, and ledger reconciliation within MX.3.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data querying tools to validate and analyze datamart outputs.
  • Experience with MX.3 Report Designer, MX.3 Reporting Engine, and integration with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent).
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to trace data lineage from trade booking through to report output.
  • Experience working on large-scale Murex implementations within tier 1 or tier 2 banks, preferably in APAC.
  • Excellent written communication skills for producing BRDs, FSDs, and data dictionaries.
  • Expert proficiency in Murex Datamart Reporting.
